Tondai Nadu also known as Tondaimandalam, rich in cultural heritage, has a distinctive culinary tradition deeply rooted in local agricultural practices. The food of Tondaimandalam is a reflection of its agrarian society, and millets have long been an integral part of the local diet.
With the aim to celebrate and promote the rich culinary heritage of Tondai Nadu this cooking contest is organized by the Puducherry Government and the Tourism Department of Puducherry on 'World Tourism Day'.
